Lovely … love my family

He’s home! And I’m so happy I could sing.

A little patience.

That’s how things have been. Last weekend we moved into our Las Palmas house – thanks to help from Aprilyn, Rey, Jerome, Justin, Peter, Sun and my Moms. I’ve unpacked just about everything except my clothes – I can live out of boxes a while longer. There’s still a lot I want to do – but it all has to wait for now.

Zoey’s been sick since Friday with some kind of virus. A rotavirus? I don’t know. She’s had diarrhea and low-grade fever since Friday night. Today was the first fever-free day – but she’s still got the runs, and now an accompanying diaper rash. Poor kid. I feel for her. I’d trade places with her if I could. The clinic said we have to let it run its course and keep her hydrated. It’s frustrating that I can’t do more for her – like wave a wand over her and make it all better.

Wayne did manage to call this evening. He’ll be home very soon! The last few weeks are harder than the entire year we’ve been apart. I can’t wait to see him with Zoey again – for our little family to be whole in our new home.

Patience. I just need a nice, big dose of patience for all these things.
