Zoey dances to “Yo Gabba Gabba!”
There are moments in my life that seem surreal. Like they happened to someone else. Or I saw it in a movie. Or I’m remembering a long-ago dream.
I was thinking about this while lying in bed waiting for sleep. I have done things on the spur of the moment that now, a long time later, seem like they never really happened at all. It’s strange what your mind is capable of glossing over. Other memories are stark in their clarity – but the ones you’d expect to remember just fade out. I’m guessing it’s survival tactic we can thank evolution for.
There’s no point to this rambling. Forgive me. I’m not here to reveal any big secrets about myself. I’m just thinking (blogging) out loud.
On a professional note – look for my mommy article in the next issue of “Oh Baby” magazine. It’s usually tucked into a copy of the PDN, but don’t ask me when. I’m not sure of the publication date. I’ve been thinking about other ideas for (possible) future mommy articles – baby wearing, living with extended family on Guam, deployed dads, digital scrapbooking, books to read to your baby, crafting with your toddler … the possibilities are endless. I hope Sun let’s me write another.
And lastly – here’s hoping for some good news on our house. We’re supposed to hear back on closing this weekend. Cross your fingers for us and send us all the good vibes you can muster!
