Wow! Wayne and I just got home from seeing There Will Be Blood. I have to say, it is deserving of all the hype and praise. It was excellent. Daniel Day Lewis is without a doubt one of the best actors of our time. He goes all out with this character. You should see the movie just for his performance. Just hand the guy the Oscar already.

The score is also terrific. I’ll warn those with little patience for buildup – this movie isn’t for you. It’s epic on screen, done in wide shots and long sequences with little to no dialogue. Paul Thomas Anderson at his best. The story is told more with the camera than anything, especially in the beginning.

It isn’t for the faint of heart, but I highly recommend this flick. It’s literature on the screen. Very well done. =D
