(not so) little girl

My girl is creeping up on 4 months, and she’s got another ear infection. Yep, back on the pink stuff. At the doctor’s office today, we saw a little boy named Peter who is 8 months old. Zoey is almost as big as he is. In fact, when her doctor came in the room he said, “So what is she now, 8 months? 7 months?” And I said, “No way! Only 3 and a half!”

Either Peter is a shrimp, or Zoey’s gigantic. =O

EDIT (012708, 3:24 a.m.):

I’ll add in some more details on her development for those who are interested. She’s sucking her thumb all the time now. She’s also grabbing anything you wave in front of her and putting it straight into her mouth. She yaks our ears off – I’ve been trying to get a video of it. She’s almost rolling over both ways, not yet, but any day now. She has not found her feet yet.  She smiles and giggles and she’s very ticklish. One of her favorite games is when you make animal noises for her – the more realistic, the funnier she finds it. And she falls asleep pretty fast if you play James Taylor on the stereo.

Oh and did anyone appreciate my favorite headline from last night: “‘How She Move’ has two left feet”? Sometimes I really like my job. =D

Zoey is 3 months old

I can hardly believe it …

happy new year, bitches!

I didn’t go out drinking, or dancing, or watch the fireworks. Instead I worked eight hours, raced home, then stroked my baby’s forehead before kissing my boyfriend at midnight. Later we sat around the table with my brother – drinking coffee and telling stories.

I spent 2007 doing a lot of growing up: Graduated from college, got a real job, had a baby, moved twice, and got promoted to management. My year was full of family, friends, life and love. I can’t complain.

Let’s hear it for ’08! =D
