I don’t need a holiday to remind me to be thankful. But I’ll give you a short list.
I’m thankful for:
Another day.
Chemistry.
Earned wisdom.
Loved ones.
My job.
Music.
Computers and the internet.
Second chances.
Ice cream.
The things I have yet to learn.
And … for being wholeheartedly, unabashedly, crazy in love.
Now go forth and eat pie. I know I will.

My Uncle Bruce died a few days ago. Uncle Bruce – the one who was in the Delta Force, could kill a guy fifty zillion ways with only his hands, was a sniper, a magician, an entrepreneur, who made me so mad sometimes I wanted to spit, who taped over my mom’s trip to the Grand Canyon with his “Billy Bruce” movie as a kid … he’s gone.
