For lack of anything more substantial to blog about, I hereby give you my day, pictures included:
My friend Grace got married on Saturday and I had planned on going to the reception since ever since. Wayne had drill, but promised to be my date. (My stag days are over, yo.) They let him out a tad late, but nothing too unfashionable. Then we had automobile drama outside the First Hawaiian Bank and my dad had to come save us. We made it to the hotel, like, an hour and a half late – just in time for me to strategically miss the bouqet toss. (To Michelle and Lani’s consternation.) We got to dance a little, eat cake, and step on some toes. Oh – and take pictures as well …

Afterwards, the four of us were walking out of the Okura discussing what our next move would be, when we see before us one of the red Tumon trolleys. Lani says, “You should take a picture in front of the trolley!” And I say, “We should ride the trolley!” Everybody went “Yeah!” So we hopped on the trolley for a roundtrip ride to K-mart. The girls and I got yoo-hoo-ed at by some guy in a truck, Wayne and I totally made out, and we took more pictures …

And after all our yelling and being obnoxious the driver still took our picture. Sweet!

Then we ate at Denny’s. Later, I got lucky (super sweet!). The end.
Hey, wow. I am employed. I gots me a bid-ness license and everything! Can you believe that shit?
In two weeks I’ll be working as a part-time mentor for the About Face program.

Okay. So, it looks like it’s time for an update.
1. My eye. It’s infected and gross and painful and I’m feeling not a little sorry for myself at the moment. Last Friday I went to the ER because I thought it might be pink eye and all the clinics were closed until Tuesday so they told us to go to there. The ER doc tells me it’s a sty and sends me home. Eye proceeds to get redder and puffier and goopy-er until I can go to family practice on Tuesday where I finally get some decent antibiotics and some respect for my opinion. I narrowly avoided an IV drip. Hooray. But, on the bright side, it’s better than it was yesterday.
2. School. I dropped my summer classes yesterday morning because of the eye. Good thing too. I’d already be playing catch-up. Playing catch-up sucks ass. So maybe I’ll register for my last class during Session C. If not, there’s always fall semester. I’ll still be graduating by this December, either way.
3. Wayne. We’re heading into our third month of official coupledom, and what with my Cyclops impression this past week, the honeymoon is just about over. No lovey dovey honeymoon phase can outlast my infected eye and his infected ear. But what’s left is still pretty great, I have to admit.
